Entered into rest at home in Santa Rosa, CA following a short illness on December 9, 2012. Dearly beloved fifty-nine year husband of the late Mary Cia. Loving father of Gary M. (Jan) Cia of Maui, HI and Dina C. (Tom) Cheli of Santa Rosa, CA. Adored grandfather of Gina, Shannon, Michele and Heather. Cherished great grandfather of ten and great-great grandfather of four. Also survived by his brother Ron Cia of St. Helena, CA and numerous nieces and nephews. A native and life-long resident of Santa Rosa, CA, age 93 years. Milt is also preceded in death by his brother, Harold and two sisters, Fran and Alda. Milt was a graduate of Santa Rosa High School. He served honorably in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the V.F.W., the Druids Lodge, the Westside Boys Club and the Sons of Italy. He was co-owner of Trenton Store and retired from Ray's Food Center in Santa Rosa. Milt's family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation and gratitude, Knox and Susie, who aided as his caregiver's for the past six months. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Liturgy Service on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the LAFFERTY & SMITH COLONIAL CHAPEL (4321 Sonoma Highway, Santa Rosa, CA, 95409). Entombment with Military Honor's will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery (2930 Bennett Valley Road, Santa Rosa, CA 95404). LAFFERTY & SMITH COLONIAL CHAPEL will provide visitation hours in the Fireside Room on Thursday, December 13, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Milt's memory are preferred to Heartland Hospice (2455 Bennett Valley Road; Suite B214, Santa Rosa, CA 95404).
