Died peacefully on Sep 16, 2013 at lady of Lourdes Hospital at the age of 81. A special thanks to the staff there and Heart of Hospice Care Staff for their wonderful care. Mike was born on September 12, 1932 in Church Point, Louisiana to Medrick and Sylvania Guillory. He was living in Jennings, Louisiana at the time of his death. Mike was a Korean War Army Veteran who served from 1948 to 1951, a retired auto mechanic and an active member of the Knights of Columbus and Lions Club. He enjoyed being an active Church member, often volunteering, and had a love of gardening and raising animals. He also had a deep love for his family, and many reunions and celebrations were held at Mike's house. Mike spent much of his life in Santa Rosa, California where he raised five children. He moved to Colorado in 1977 where he raised two more children from his second marriage. Mike is preceded in death by his parents; stepmom, Ella "Nanan"; brothers, Clarence, Herman, Isaac, Lennis and Lenton; sisters, Christine and Rita; son, John, from his first marriage; daughter, Melissa, first of three children from his second marriage. He is survived by his brother Jake; sisters Anna, Carol, and Manda; sons Dale, Wayne, Matt, Sean and Michael; daughters, Brenda McNaughton and Andrea Franson; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was an uncle to many nephews and nieces and had many close cousins. He will be laid to rest with his daughter Melissa at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery at a private ceremony. The celebration of his life will take place November 16, 2013 in California. There will be a Mass held at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church, located at 398 Tenth Street, Santa Rosa, CA 95401. Immediately following the family invites all to come join for a family meal at Hermanns Sons Hall, 860 Western Avenue, Petaluma, CA 94952.
