A graduate of Santa Rosa High School, class of 1944, he excelled in sports and was awarded MVP in baseball. Ralph proudly served his country in the US Army in the Pacific during World War II. He enjoyed playing piano and studied at Carnegie Hall for two years. An avid gardener, Ralph spent much time working in his yard and caring for his flowers and redwood trees. He had a special place in his heart for Hawaii and the time he spent there with family and friends over the years.
