Richard passed away peacefully at home at the age of 82. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 61 years, Rose. He is also survived by his children, Rachelle and Art Wall, Pat Parker, Ken Anderson; and grandkids, Richard, Jason, and Cole Wall, Joshua, Daniel and Stacey Parker, and Michael C. Anderson. He is preceded in death by his son Michael P. Anderson, parents Frank and Julia, and brothers Frank and Ed. Richard went to Analy H.S. where he was involved in the FFA and basketball team during which he was also a commercial fisherman and rancher. After high school he joined the Navy. Richard worked 25 years for Sonoma County in bridge construction and after retiring became a general engineer. He was president of S.R. Little League in the 70s. He belonged to the Moose Lodge, the Druids and was a member of Gold Prospectors Assoc. of America. Richard was also a caregiver to his son. Richard loved fishing, walking, the coast, gold panning, traveling, learning new things, and talking with people. He was active with the ALS Association and Lyme disease research. Almost every morning you'd find him at Crystal's Corner and Howarth Park. Family and friends are invited to attend his service, Saturday, July 12th, at 11:00. It will be held at Santa Rosa Memorial Cemetery. Please send donations to your favorite charities.
