Proud to be a native Santa Rosan! His childhood included many wonderful memories of times surveying the Shasta Dam, young Los Angeles and Point Lobo with his father Quint and cousin "Tweet". Malin graduated from Santa Rosa High School's class of 1948 and enlisted with the United States Air Force; his time with the Air Force was pivotal in his life. Malin went on to San Francisco State College where he received his degree with special studies in Botany. Upon graduation he worked at Cullin's Nursery until obtaining his real estate license. Malin opened Campbell Realty in 1974, which he ran and operated until his retirement. The Sonoma County Board of Realtors gave him an Honorary Membership to their organization and the National Associations of Realtors bestowed upon him "Realtor Emeritus". Malin enjoyed collecting historical memorabilia and researching his family's genealogy. Preceding him in death were his parents Quintin and Lena Campbell and cousin Beverly "Tweet" Daw. He is survived by his cousins, Jim (Kathy) Daw, John Daw and Jerry (Adele) Daw and their loving children, and many dear friends. The family wishes a special thanks to Betsy's RCFE and Memorial Hospice for their special attention and care given to him during his brief illness. At Malin's request, there will be a private memorial to be announced at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to Memorial Hospice. Santa Rosa Mortuary Eggen & Lance Chapel 545-3747.
