On January 5th, 2014 Wayne Seguin, aged 98 years, passed away at Oakmont Garden Assisted Living in Santa Rosa. The dedicated caregivers at the Gardens and Heartland Hospice provided excellent care and promoted his dignity. Born in Stevens Point Wisconsin, he attended the University of Minnesota. In 1940 Wayne followed his future bride, Lolita, also from Steven Point, and relocated to California. During World War II Wayne served in the South Pacific in the Coast Guard. They raised their family in Modesto for 35 years, until moving to Santa Rosa in 1992. His faithful companion Lolita, his wife for 61 years, died in 2009. Following his retirement from the Insurance industry he took up photography, traveling to the Southwest, Hawaii and hidden corners of Sonoma County. Besides photography he loved to sail the SF bay from Oakland and Richmond harbors. He will be remem-bered for his determination, creativity and ever-lasting in-terest in the world around him. His son Rick, from Forks WA and daughter Sally (Sarita) Nichols, of Santa Rosa, were able to be with him in his final days. A celebration of his life will be at his daughter and son-in-law's home, 3817 Skyfarm Dr., Santa Rosa on Saturday Feb 1, from 2 - 4 p.m. Friends are invited to attend.
