EDMUND ENGLE Obituary

ENGLE, EDMUND 86 - of Ocean City and Ft. Myers, FL passed away on July 7, 2011 at the Vineland Veterans Memorial Home, 524 N. W. Boulevard, Vineland, NJ 08360. Born in Philadelphia in 1924, he was a graduate of Haverford High School. He attended Drexel University, Cornell University and was a graduate of M.I.T. He was a World War II Naval Officer, having served in the Pacific Theater. After retiring from Bell of PA in 1983, where he had worked in Engineering Management for 35 years, he formed his own Telecommunications Consulting Company in Hershey, PA. He also taught Thermo Dynamics at Penn State University as an Adjunct Instructor for many years. In 1988, he and his wife Evalyn retired to their homes in Ocean City and Ft. Myers, FL where they enjoyed boating, golfing and travel. Both Edmund and Evalyn served for many years with the Coast Guard Auxillary, Ed having also served as Commander of Flotilla 81. in Ocean City. In addition to his wife Evalyn of 64 years, he is survived by his son, Edmund, Jr. of Clifton, VA, a daughter Kathryn of Ocean City and granddaughter Samantha of Broad Run, VA.
