SCHOENING, JOHN CHARLES (JOHNATHON) 65 - of Baltimore, Maryland formerly of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Monday January 28, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on September 17, 1947 to the late Carl and Alberta Schoening. Johnny attended St. Williams School in Philadelphia, Cardinal Dougherty in Philadelphia and Northwestern University. He spent Christmases and vacations at his sisters home in Wildwood, NJ. Johnathon loved planning weddings. He also tended bar. He worked part-time in his friends real estate office before he retired due to his health. He truly loved his friends and enjoyed spending time with them. Johnny is survived by his devoted loving sister Carol Schoening of Wildwood NJ whose heart is broken. He has been sent prayers and love from his cousins Suzie, Nicky, Diane, Netty, Patty, Johnny, Greg, Tina and Jackie. His sister wishes to thank all those who helped during this most difficult time. John's wishes were to be cremated. There will be a memorial in Baltimore held by his loved and truly treasured friends. Burial services will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape May, NJ. He wished to have donations made to the make a wish foundation of America, PO box 6062, Albert Lea, MN. 56007. Michelangelo wrote "if we have been pleased with life we should not be displeased with death since it comes from the hand of the same master". Johnny, may the angels lead you into paradise."
