JACOBS, RUDOLPH "RUDY" - 90 - of Galloway went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 11th with his daughters by his side. He was born in Staten Island, New York on March 1, 1922. His love for fishing is what brought him to the South Jersey area over 55 years ago. A carpenter by trade he worked primarily in construct-ion, but his passion was boat building. Rudy was a US Coast Guard veteran who served in WWII. In July 2006 a flag was flown onboard US Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City and then presented to him during a celebration of his service to this nation. He was a member of the Absecon VFW, Charles A. Hammell American Legion Post 28 and Bayview Volunteer Fire Company. He was predeceased by his wife Dottie. Surviving are his daughters Donna Boyer of Germania, Kimberly and her husband John Maxwell of Germania and Jodi Jacobs of Galloway. Two beloved granddaughters Gretchen and Bridgitte Maxwell. Sisters-in-law Phoebe Drown, Linnea and her husband Robert Behlman and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 22nd at Beacon Evangelical Free Church, 6th Avenue, Galloway.
