LUTHER, JACQUELINE M. (NELSON) 77, of Cranston, died Friday February 14, 2014 at home. She was the wife of Howard C. Luther, Jr. Born in Providence on January 20, 1937, she was a daughter of the late John and Mildred (Connors) Nelson. Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter Robyn K. Ladouceur and her husband James and two grandchildren, Ethan and Eden Ladouceur, all of Cranston. Jacqueline was also the sister of the late Hope Templeton and Judith Nelson, both of Cranston. Jacqueline is also survived by her Sister-in Law Barbara Stenning and her husband the Reverend Gordon Stenning as well as three nieces and one nephew. Jacqueline was married for 54 years and was a Cranston schoolteacher for 32 years, retiring in 1990. Jacqueline had been a member of Pioneer Lodge #506, Vasa Order of America, and the Cranston chapter of the Volunteer Services for Animals. Jacqueline was an avid gardener and loving Grandmother. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jacqueline's memory may be made to Little Rhody Vasa Park and sent to Linda Johnson, 43 Holden St., Warwick, RI 02889. Services will be private.
