MORENKO, ROBERT 75, of Lincoln, RI passed away Friday, April 19 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. Born October 17, 1937, in Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Michael and Josephine Morenko. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. After leaving the service Robert earned his Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University Mr. Morenko retired from Leviton Mfg., having worked for over 30 years as Manager of Equipment & Maintenance /Tooling of RI Operations. He also worked at Bullseye Shooting Supplies in Woonsocket, RI for several years. An avid outdoorsman with numerous hobbies including: fly tying, fishing, hunting, astronomy, world history, and travel. He was a member of the Highland and Manville Rod and Gun Clubs. Mr. Morenko leaves behind his loving companion of 13 years, Maria Scotti of Warwick. His son, Michael Morenko and wife Carolyn Romberg of Brooklyn NY; his daughter, Sara Filosi and her husband Philip of Lincoln RI; and 3 grandchildren, Spencer, Grace, and Anya. He was the brother of Roseanne Spych, Tina Popyk, and Penny Klie, and the late Michael Morenko. He also leaves behind, Anna Scotti, Patricia and Christopher Cornell, their daughters Taylor and Sophia, and many wonderful friends, co-workers, and family. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 2 at 10:30 am. St. Ann's Church, 1493 Cranston St, Cranston RI. A private burial will follow at RI Veteran's Cemetery in Exeter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island, The , Ducks Unlimited, and Trout Unlimited.
