Harry W. Glass Sr., age 94, formerly of 440 Center St., Chambersburg, passed away January 17, 2013 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born October 16, 1918 in Chambersburg, to John and Belle (Werdebaugh) Glass. He was the widower of the late Martha Weller Glass who died in 2007. Harry was retired from Letterkenny Army Depot where he had been a supervisor in the Ammunition Department. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Chambersburg Rod & Gun Club, Letterkenny Rod & Gun Club, V.F.W. Post 1599 of Chambersburg, Loyal Order of the Moose 842 and the American Legion Post 46 in Chambersburg. He loved hunting, fishing, was an avid bowler, and a fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Redskins. He is survived by his three children: Harry W. (husband of Nancy) Glass Jr. of Chambersburg, Nancy (companion of John Miller) Flair of Waynesboro, and Joan (wife of James) Wauls of Chambersburg. He has six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. He has a sister, Doris Rader, who lives in Palm Harbor, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and three brothers, John Wilson, Richard and Melvin Glass and a half brother, Arthur. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 21, 2013 at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg with Rev. Murray Stevens officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. The Honor Guard of V.F.W. Post 1599 will conduct graveside military services. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave, Chambersburg, will be handling the arrangements.
