Mildred E. Mathna Mildred E. "Millie" Mathna, 67, of Orrstown, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014, at her home. She was born Wednesday, March 12, 1947, in New Haven, Conn., the daughter of the late Charles F. and Ruth E. (Coldsmith) Hill. Millie retired from the Episcopal Home in Shippensburg. She had also worked at the former Beadles Flower Shop in Shippensburg and drove school bus for Mackey Bus Lines for Chambersburg School District. She attended Mongul Church of the Brethren in Christ, Amvets Post 224 Auxiliary, Chambersburg, where she was a life member and past president, Durff-Kuhn VFW Post 6168 Auxiliary, Oscar Hykes American Legion Post 223 Auxiliary, Past President of Upper Strasburg Head Start, and a social member of Minnequa Club in Shippensburg. Millie loved camping, crafting and reading. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Melvin G. "Moe" Mathna, Sr. She is also survived by two sons, Melvin G. Mathna, Jr. and companion Barb Moore, and James E. Mathna, all of Orrstown; two sisters, Linda L. and husband Robert Rhine of Chambersburg, Amy M. and husband Dennis Dewalt of Fayetteville; two brothers, Lewis and wife Linda Hill of Shippensburg, and Larry Hill of Saint Thomas; and many nieces and nephews. Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 27 at Mongul Church of the Brethren in Christ, 4162 Roxbury Road, Shippensburg, with the Rev. Rocky Spear officiating. Interment will be in Mongul Cemetery. A viewing will be held at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg on Wednesday, March 26 from 6 to 8 p.m., and also on Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of services.
