July 4, 2014

Adam Berrey passed away July 4, 2014. Adam was born to Carolyn and Garth Berrey in Reno Nevada and graduated from Reno High School. He enlisted after High School and served his country in the United States Coast Guard. Adam went on to be a Prison Guard for the Idaho Prison System. He received his paralegal certificate in 2011 and went to work for the US Department of Veteran's Affairs. His job took him to Portland Oregon where he was able to spend time with his daughters Emma and Hannah. Adam recently returned home to Reno to work for the Social Security Administration in Carson City.

Adam was preceded in death by his Father, Garth Berrey, Uncles, Frank James Beinhorn and Gary Alan Peard Sr., and Cousin, Glenn Beinhorn. He is survived by his Mother, Carolyn Berrey, Grandmother, Laverne Beinhorn, Brother, Jeff Berrey(Kerri), Daughters, Emma, Hannah, Danielle, Lexi and Best Friends Tracy Berrey and Dann Frias; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and life-long friends who cherished any time they got to spend with him.

Adam was someone you could always count on when you needed help. He was a kind and generous soul. He loved to go on long bike rides on his Victory Motorcycle, especially around Lake Tahoe. On the weekends you could find him enjoying a movie with his daughters or just hanging out with friends. He liked to float down the Truckee River on an inner tube. He had an incredible sense of humor, was quick-witted and could always make you smile with his jokes and sarcastic nature. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services will be held at Mountain View Mortuary, Saturday July 12, 2014 at 12pm with a Celebration of Life to follow at the River Oak Clubhouse in Verdi.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
