Frank G. Dodaro

Frank Dodaro, 76, of Reno, Nevada, passed away December 27, 2012 from complications of heart surgery. He was born in Morgantown, West Virginia and raised in Bradford, Pennsylvania. He joined the Air Force in 1955. He spent time overseas and played football for the AF. He met his wife, Janet, in Sausalito, California and married in 1962. He worked as a computer technician for Lucent Technologies (formerly AT&T and PacBell) and lived in Fairfax, CA. for 27 years. In 1989, he moved to Maui, Hawaii for 10 years and worked for Boeing Corporation. He retired and moved to Reno, Nevada where he lived for the past 12 years.
Frank loved time spent with family and the outdoors. He was an avid tennis player and skier. He enjoyed skiing at Mt. Rose. In his earlier years, he played baseball and loved riding his bike in the hills of Marin County. Frank was well known for his adventurous bicycle trips to Lake Tahoe from the Bay Area. He had a positive attitude and good humor.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janet, of 50 years, two daughters, Laurie Bradley and husband, Scott, of Medford, Oregon, Gail Russell and husband, John, of Maui, Hawaii. He has five grandchildren, John, Jamie, Amy, Thomas, & Tyler, and two great grandchildren, Olivia & Allison.
A celebration of life with family and friends will be held at later date. Thank you for your condolences. He is remembered for his smile, generosity, lively humor, and dedication to his family.
