John "Jay" Walter Bradley, 64, passed away April 11, 2013. Jay will always be remembered by his friends, family and colleagues for his kindness, dry sense of humor and quiet demeanor.

Jay was born in Providence, Rhode Island to the late Jack and Katherine Bradley. Due to his fathers Army career he lived in several states and Japan when he was growing up. Jay himself was a veteran of the Army.

Jay attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he received a degree in psychology and the University of Massachusetts at Salem where he received a degree in nursing.

In 1980 Jay began employment at Renown as an R.N. primarily in the ICU. He retired after 31 years from Renown where he will always be remembered as a mentor, leader and dedicated nurse among his colleagues.

Jay is survived by his wife Elaine of 37 years, son Zachary, grandson Nicholas, sister Kathleen Heald, niece Carolyn Jolly and several grand nieces and nephews.

The family of Jay wishes to thank friends and family for their prayers and thoughts, and St. Mary's Hospital staff and Hospice for their support and care. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Fund or the American Institute for Cancer Research.
