Katherine Leichtle Obituary
Katherine (Kathy) Leichtle

April 5, 1950

November 4, 2013

Our beloved Angel Kathy lost her courageous four year battle to breast cancer.

She was born in Espanola, NM to Albert and Adelina (Vargas) Leichtle. The family later moved to Midvale, Utah where she graduated from Hillcrest High in 1968.

A single mom, Kathy moved her family to Reno, NV in 1986 where she successfully owned and operated her own business, Custom Employee Benefits, receiving numerous achievement awards.

Always sensitive to other's needs Kathy was part of a mentoring program for young girls where she met and mentored a special girl Stephanie. Filled with compassion, Kathy always bestowed loving acts of kindness to friends, family and everyone she come in contact with.

Kathy would always say "Any reason is a good reason to celebrate", gathering family and friends together for concerts in the park, camping in her motor home and her favorite event, "Burning Man" at the Playa and enjoying new friends and the spirit that goes along with that celebration. Her love and zest for life was indicative in everything she did during her lifetime.

Devoting her life to family, Kathy leaves behind her mother, Adelina Leichtle, her sons Keith Wiseman and Kevin & Bradley Johnson along with her grandsons Quinten Wiseman & Charley Johnson, her brother Moritz (Liz), and sister Diane Robison (Mitch) (which was her loving care-giver) numerous nieces & nephews, a special person in her life John Hoff and a multitude of friends. She was preceded in passing by her father Albert and sister Irene.

The family wishes to express their thanks to Cancer Treatment Centers of America and Infinity Hospice Center for the love and compassion they bestowed upon Kathy.

Her Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday November 9th at 11:00 A.M., at the Rock Church, 4960 Vista Blvd. Sparks, NV. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Rock Church.
