Kenneth Hudson Weaver
The Guest Book is expired.
Kenny lived in Reno, Nevada for the past 20 years. He was born in Oakland, CA and raised in the St. Francis Wood neighborhood of San Francisco. His boyhood friends Tom and Gordy are still his friends to this day. He played football at Lincoln High and then attended U.C. Berkeley, where he graduated with a degree in history, and was a proud member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He had very fond memories of his fraternity days, but last year after the Nevada/Cal football game, while showing his family his old fraternity, he also proudly wore his Wolf Pack shirt.
After college, Kenny was able to take a long trip through Europe. One of his favorite stories was his time in Spain where he taught water skiing and was cast as an extra in a movie. After returning to the states, he taught school in Bellingham, WA and then became a real estate agent and asset manager.
When his parents became elderly and sick, Kenny lovingly and compassionately cared for them until the time of their passing.
After retirement, he worked as one of the conductors on the miniature train at Idlewild Park and became a substitute teacher for WCSD specializing in developmental classes. He was an avid water and snow skier and loved to walk with his canine companions. Kenny never saw a bargain bin he didn't like.
He is survived by his wife, Jodee Langford Weaver; his sister Maria Copeland (husband Paul; sons Jonathan and Peter, daughter Meaghan) of California; his step-children Adam and Stephanie, his nephew CW3 Michael Tobin (wife Maria and granddaughter Penelope) of Tacoma, WA, Mother-in-law June Langford of Illinois and his cousin Deb Langford of St. Louis. In addition, Kenny had many sisters and brothers-in-law and many, many nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.
He was 68 years old at the time of his passing.
