Russell Charles Bachtell

Born in Alameda, California to Russell G. Bachtell and Mary Avery Bachtell. Preceded in death by his parents and brother Raymond Bachtell. Survived by wife Ronda of 44 years; daughters Connie Pitz (Kurt) of New Providence, PA and Stacy Bachtell of Reno; grandson Brandon Herman of Marietta, PA ; and his beloved dogs. By sisters Margaret Kettelhut (Larry) and Valerie Bachtell; sister-in-law Patricia Bachtell; nieces SarylSue, Keri Ann and Terri Rae.

Russ graduated from Alameda High School and served in the Army from 1961-1963 in the 11th Armored Calvary Regiment. He lived in Nevada since 1970, was self employed since the 1980's and was an avid collector. For a time he restored antique gaming machines. Playing golf and finding lost golf balls was his passion and for several years he enjoyed participating in Special Olympics golf and bowling with his daughter Stacy. A highlight of his life was driving across the United States to visit daughter Connie and family in Pennsylvania. He loved that part of the country.

A celebration of life will be held for family and friends.
