He is survived by his daughter, Wendla (John) Balmer, daughter-in-law, Diane, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one great great- grandchild, his sister Wilma and several nieces and nephews.
Ted was preceded in death by his first wife, June, second wife, Ruby and sons Michael and Jack.
He served in the US Navy during World War II as a Radioman Second Class on the USS Curtis. He also served in the Korean War.
He received a degree in Business Administration in 1955 and enjoyed his career as the Business Manager at the Nevada State Hospital until his retirement in 1976.
He was an active member of the Loyal Order of Moose receiving one of the highest honors as the Pilgrim Degree of Merit in June 1996. and helped found the Fernley Nevada, Loyal Order of Moose lodge #2468.
He was a kind and gentle man that will be sorely missed by all his family and friends.
A memorial service is to be announced at a later date.
