Joseph Gnibus Obituary
Joseph Leo Gnibus born August 20, 1943 in Indiana County, PA passed away on Tuesday February 17, 2015 at his home in Sparks, Nevada. The heavens received another Angel with the passing of a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend and mentor to many people, young and old, who had the privilege of knowing him.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 30-years Glynis Gnibus, his daughter Deborah Chicago and her husband Joseph Chicago, his son Robert Gnibus, his grandsons Beau, Brett, and Jaden Gnibus, and his great grandson Billy Gnibus. His sister Julia M. Fordyce of Phoenix, AZ, and his brother Frank Gnibus of Homer City, PA. His adopted family Ryan, Victoria, Adin, and Chase Wilson.
Joseph worked for NDOT, retiring after 43 years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid angler and sportsman. His love of animals, including, but not limited to his two dogs: Baron and Sunshine. Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, who loved his country.
Funeral Services to be held at Walton's Sparks Funeral Home, 1745 Sullivan Lane, Sparks, NV 89431 on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the SPCA in his memory.
