Beverly Wagner Obituary
BEVERLY J. WAGNER, 86 ROCKFORD - Beverly J. Wagner, 86, of Rockford, died at 8:50 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2014, in Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center. Born Aug. 15, 1927, in Rockford, the daughter of Harry A. and Edith (Hope) Howard. Graduate of West High School. She married William R. Wagner on June 25, 1977, in Rockford. He predeceased her Feb. 1, 2010, in Mission, Texas. Beverly worked for the Rockford Public Schools in food service for 30 years before retiring in 2000. She was 50-year charter member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, a member of the National Campers Square Dance Assoc., Forest City Square Dance Club, VFW Auxiliary, ALABET Temple Daughters of the Nile, and a former member of ISFSA Affiliate Chapter, Women of the Moose, and American Food Service Assoc. Beverly enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends to the fullest. She is survived by her children, James (Susy) Jones of Phoenix, Ariz. and Lisa Leum of Loves Park; step-children, Richard (Barbara) Wagner of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Carol Wagner of Rockford; grandchildren, Krysten and Joshua Jones; five step-grandchildren; and two great-step-grandchildren. Predeceased by her first husband, Richard T. Jones; her second husband, William R. Wagner; brothers, Richard and Robert Howard; and sister, Mary E. Colvin. Memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2014, in Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center, 3470 N. Alpine Rd., with Pastor David Petty officiating. Private family burial in Willwood Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements by Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Ltd.
