CLARENCE G. 'GIP' WALLER II ROCKFORD - Clarence G. "Gip" Waller II, of Rockford departed this earthly life Monday, September 23, 2013, after a long illness. He was born August 6, 1952, in Chicago IL; the son of Clarence Sr. and Catherine Waller. Clarence lived 20 years in Rockford, coming from Chicago. He married the former Dorothy Fields February 3, 1982, in Rockford. He was employed as a welder by Zenith Cutter 6 years before becoming ill. Clarence was a Veteran of the United State Air Force. He graduated from Thornton High School in Harvey, IL. Clarence leaves to cherish many loving memories, his loving wife, Dorothy; three sons, Clarence III, Javon and Colongee Waller; three daughters, Lawanna (Carl Garner) Waller, Tammie and Stacy Robinson; 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; six brothers, Victor (Debra), Kym (Karen) Waller, James (Kristine), Xavier (Sharon) Hoover, Yabuki and Seth Waller; 2 sisters, Regina (Charles) Bolden and Marsha Atkins; a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; daughter, Lynette Robinson; and sister, Sherri Hoover Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 1901 W. State Street. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home, 2429 W. State Street.
