DAVID A. FLOBERG, 51 BELVIDERE - David A. Floberg, 51, of Belvidere died Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at home. Born Sept. 25, 1961, son of John A. and Jeanne Reitsch Floberg. Graduated from Guilford High School in 1979 and attended Arizona State University. Married Alice A. Crouse on June 4, 1988. Member of Rockford First Church. Dave was an extremely talented and gifted contract machinist, a job he loved and performed for many years. He worked for Barber Colman, Advanced Machine, Apex Machine, Bourne & Koch, Circle Borning and owned his own company, United Boring. He was a generous man who loved animals and enjoyed the water and walking on the beaches. Survivors include wife, Alice; daughter, Heather (Andrew) Hooper; grandchildren, Allyson Hooper and Jacob Hooper; mother, Jeanne Reitsch Floberg; sisters, Katherine (David) Kufahl, Susan McDonald and Marianne (Marty) Kaiser; nieces and nephews, Erika, Kelly (Phil) Mach, Greg Kufahl, Molly (Mike) Peterson, Mandi McDonald and Nathan Kaiser; and father-in-law, Robert Crouse. Predeceased by father and grandparents. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at Rockford First with Pastor Jason McClenthen officiating. Private family burial. Visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road. Memorials may be made to Rockford Rescue Mission or Carpenter's Place.
