LINDA KAY VINCENT-MILLER, 63 DONALDSON, Ind. - Linda Kay Vincent-Miller, 63, a resident at the Catherine Kasper Living Center in Donaldson, Indiana, died on Sunday, March 9, 2014, surrounded by family, friends and caregivers. Ms. Vincent-Miller was a treasured sibling, loving wife, devoted mother, admired aunt, valued coworker, a friend to many. She was born November 12, 1950, in Noblesville, Indiana, the daughter of Jerome and Mary Nolan Vincent, both now deceased. Linda was an honors graduate of both Noblesville High School and Indiana University, and was briefly a school teacher before beginning her career of over twenty years with Aetna Insurance at their Fort Wayne, Indiana and Rockford, Illinois offices. She gave birth to the joy of her life, son, Evan, on February 10, 1983, and also helped care for her stepchildren, Lynn, Rick and Gary. She was a member of Alpine Lutheran Church in Rockford and its Handbell Choir. Linda was a gifted pianist, an avid reader, a painter of ceramics and a math whiz. Disabled by a stroke in 1996, her courage, tenacity and joy of living in the face of great adversity was an inspiration to many. Her husband, Fred, provided loving care for her until his own death in 2005. In her years at Miller's Merry Manor in Culver, Indiana and the Catherine Kasper Living Center, she enjoyed movies, shopping, walks, distributing candy to one and all, and visits from family and friends. She was a skilled artist and a force to be reckoned with playing dominoes. She is survived by her son, Evan Vincent-Miller and significant other, Johanna Bennett, Carmichael, California; stepdaughter, Lynn Dieterman, Rockford, Illinois; stepsons, Richard Miller, Tarpon Springs, Florida, and Gary Miller, Evanston, Illinois; two sisters, Anne Pilarski, Culver, Indiana and Mary Jeanne Vincent, Noblesville, Indiana; seven brothers, Joe (Claudette) Vincent, Salem, Oregon, Richard (Susan) Vincent, Noblesville, Indiana, David (Lynda) Lamarre-Vincent, Concord, New Hampshire, Michael (Linda) Vincent, Cool Ridge, West Virginia, Stephen Vincent, Iowa City, Iowa, Paul (Tania) Vincent, Beaverton, Oregon, and Mark (Becky) Vincent, Bettendorf, Iowa; beloved aunts, Anne Vincent and Esther Vincent, both of Concord, New Hampshire; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other family.
