MCKINLEY 'CHOP' HOARDE, JR. ROCKFORD - McKinley "Chop" Hoarde Jr., of Rockford departed this earthly life, Thursday, August 14, 2013, in Swedish American Hospital. He was born January 5, 1950, in Ripley, TN the son of McKinley and Delaine Hoarde. He lived in Rockford since 1965 coming from Ripley. McKinley was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He attended Bethel Baptist Church. He graduated from Lauderdale County High School later to attended Rockford College. McKinley leaves to cherish many loving memories, two daughters, Christine White and Cherese Pitman; sons, McKinley Hoarde III. and Darius Wilson; 8 grandchildren; mother, Delaine; three brothers, Larry (Flossie) Hoarde, Calvin (Dannette) Hoarde, and Sterling (Martha Williams) Hoarde; aunts, Janie Berryhill and Stella Mae Harris; companion, Sharon Love; sister-in-law, Michelle Cross; a host of other relatives and friends including best friends and cousin, Kent (Cleta) Berryhill. He was predeceased by his father; and sister, Carolyn Hoarde. Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, August 22, at Bethel Baptist Church 721 Harrison Avenue with Pastor Kerry L. Newburn officiating. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home 2429 W. State St.
