ROBERT K. 'KYLE' NIEMAN II, 42 ROCKFORD - Robert K. "Kyle" Nieman II, 42, of Rockford, died Friday, May 3, after a prolonged battle throughout his adult life with drug addiction. He was born July 16, 1970, in Rockford, to Robert and DiAnne (Witt) Nieman. He graduated from Boylan Catholic High School in 1988, and attended Rock Valley Community College. Music touched Kyle's soul from an early age as demonstrated by his enthusiastic participation in many local bands as a drummer and guitarist, and his aspirations to write song lyrics for the music industry. He lent his talents to music programming for the radio station at Beloit College. Kyle always enjoyed meals at the Stockholm Inn with his dad and being outdoors with his dog, DC. He is survived by his mother, DiAnne Witt of Omaha, Texas; father, Bob Nieman of Rockford; brother, Dan Nieman of Cherry Valley; two aunts; two uncles; and cousins. Predeceased by his grandparents. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, in Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Ltd., Fred C.
