WILLIAM H. 'BILL' CASEY, 74 ROCKFORD - William H. "Bill" Casey, 74, of Rockford, died May 20, 2013, at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born August 1, 1938, in Rockford, son of William Daniel and Alice (Crawford) Casey. Married Herta Wunsche in 1960, in Germany. Served in the U.S. Army and worked as a machinist for 126 Transportation Company. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, and the Moose in Belvidere, as well as Pheasants Forever and Sheriff's Patrol. Survived by his loving wife, Herta; daughter, Donna Casey of Milwaukee; son, Robert (Misty) Casey of Lyndon, IL; grandchildren, James and Lydia Casey; 1 great-grandson; sister, Lila Volhken of Michigan; several nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; son, Billy Casey; and sister, Mona Thornton. Memorial open house from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at the John Hugo Kaiser VFW, Belvidere Post #1461, 1310 W. Lincoln Ave, Belvidere. Arrangements by Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere.
