Sheila, I cannot begin to express the shock and sorrow I felt when I read of Dale's passing. From the moment I met him, and then you with "the kids", I saw something special. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Please let me know if there is anything I can do.

Sheila,
We have read the brave and loving messages you and Dale wrote in your journal these last few months and admired you both. You had something very special. Although words are inadequate at this time, we hold you in our prayers and thoughts and leave you with words that echo the mystery of life and death...
"For life is eternal
And love immortal
And death is but an horizon
And an horizon is only
The limit of our vision."
With deepest sympathies,

Sheila:
Cherish the years you had together. All words, short or lengthy sentences do not convey the sorrow. These words are inadequate but let me use a quote "Dale will now touch the face of God." I want to wrap my arms around you and Linda Dean.

Shelia,
Words seem so ineffectual. Sorry or sad are inadequate. The pain we have when a friend is in pain, is nothing like the friend's pain and may do nothing to ease that pain. But it is all we have to offer. In that way we experience helplessness and the inability to work our will. That experience reminds us what it is to be human.

I first met dale 21 yrs ago when he worked for the bank of pa when i started by business as a 23 yr old "boy" and he helped me through everything and was always there to answer questions, offer a kind word and words of encouragement ... he even stopped in the office every so often to see how i was doing... he was a wonderful person and I would like to think that i am the business person i am today because of him... he will be missed

Sheila, you and Dale were so fortunate to be each other's best friend and share so many wonderful experiences over the years. Dale's stay on earth was much too short; but hopefully, all the special memories you created together will give you some sense of comfort and peace over time.
