Roy Batchelor Obituary

Roy Batchelor Jr., 86, died Sunday, March 1, 2015. Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. from the Farmville Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Rocky Stone. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery. Mr. Batchelor was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a graduate of Greenville High School. Mr. Batchelor also graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 1951 with a degree in business. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Malta Batchelor. He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Cecilia Betsy Morriss Batchelor of the home; daughters, Elizabeth Beth Carpenter and husband, Stanley of West Point, VA, and Cecilia Evans and husband, Mike of Myrtle Beach, SC; son, Roy Batchelor III of Somerset, NJ; grandchildren, Marie C. Rector and husband, Joey, Lath Carpenter, Zachary Batchelor, and Tyler Batchelor. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Farmville Presbyterian Church or to the charity of ones choice. Online condolences may be made at www.farmvillefh.com.
