1954- 2013

Daniel Paul Huff died at the age of 59 in his home on June 18, 2013. He had no known illness before his death; he simply went to sleep and did not wake up the following morning.

Dan was born January 4th 1954 in Hollywood California to Joe and Naomi Huff. He attended Hart High School and graduated in 1972. Later that same year he married his high school sweet heart Herlinda León and enlisted in the United States Army. He served 3 years, achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant and was honorably discharged in 1975.

He moved to Eugene in 1978 and attended Eugene Bible College where he earned a Bachelors degree. He worked for Emerald Pool and Patio for many years before he started his own company, Quality Pool and Spa in 1993.

In 1999 Dan married Julie Adams to whom he remained a faithful and loving husband.

In 2010 earned his realty license and worked side by side with his wife Julie at Unique Properties.

In the 2008 he bought a new Harley Davidson Road King and swore that he'd ride that bike wherever it would take them. He loved travelling on his motorcycle and in the last 5 years he put over 94,000 miles on that bike. In this last year alone he rode all over major parts of the continental United States, Canada, Mexico and Alaska.

He loved spending time with his wife, two adult children and two grandkids. Many weekends he could be found camping and hunting with his grandkids or taking motorcycle trips with his wife and kids.

He is survived by his wife, Julie; son, Joshua Huff; daughter, Angelynn Pierce; two grandchildren, four sisters and one brother.

He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family. Dan will be remembered for his generosity, sense of humor, opinion and integrity.

The family requests that in lieu of sending flowers, please make a donation in the memory of Daniel Paul Huff to The Wounded Warriors Project.

A celebration of life service will be held Friday June 21 - 5:30 pm at the Elks Lodge at 1701 Centennial Blvd in Springfield.
