Albert Troudt passed away on September 6, at the age of 91 following a short illness. Albert was a native of Fort Collins having grown up on farms in the area. He retired from Ghent Motor Company after nearly 40 years of service. He enjoyed many life-long friends from his time at Ghent's and many were still his regular breakfast and coffee buddies. He was a WWII veteran and was active in the Elks and Moose Clubs and the American Legion. Albert loved taking care of his home and his yard and was always ready with a friendly wave or a helping hand for his neighbors. Everyone got to know his quick wit and fun-loving nature. Racing was in his blood and he was honored as the top mechanic for the #77 car driven by his friend, John Rostek. Albert was a wonderful father and grandfather and caring friend to: Gary (Vikki) Troudt of Tallahassee, FL; Kathie (Robin) Riley, Katelyn Riley and Justin Riley of Loveland; and Evelyn Cooper of Fort Collins. He was preceded in death by his wife Florence Greenwalt Troudt, parents Alex and Katherine Troudt, brothers Lee and Howard Troudt, and sister Esther Buderus. A memorial service will be held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 11. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to Associated Veterans of Loveland, attention Ed Aitken, 305 Cleveland Avenue, Loveland, 80537.
