Lois Marie Bartlett Radway 96 passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Berthoud, CO on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. Lois was born in Duluth, MN on November 27, 1916 to John F. and Elda E. (Luxon) Bartlett, both of whom were lifelong educators. Lois graduated from the University of Minnesota (1937). She married Owen Wilson Radway in 1942 and he predeceased her on March 11, 1972. A food nutritionist by education, Lois was the Manhattan/Bronx District Supervisor for the New York City School System Food Program from 1964 until her retirement in 1981. In 1989, Lois moved to Loveland, CO from Cresskill, NJ to be near her children and grandchildren living in Berthoud, CO. In retirement she traveled extensively in the US and abroad, attended many Denver Bronco and Colorado Rockies sporting events, and never tired of beating her family members in card games - especially cribbage. Lois is survived by her daughter Susan E. Radway, son-in-law Robert Towles, and grandsons Ryan (of Michigan), Sean, Blaine, and Drew all of Berthoud and her son Scott Radway and daughter-in-law Jean Greer of Chapel Hill, NC and granddaughter Kathryn Radway of Los Angeles, CA. She was predeceased by son Gary Radway of Berthoud in 2005 and survived by her grandson Taylor Radway of Denver, CO. Cremation has been conducted and a celebratory memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2013, at Kibbey Fishburn Funeral Home in Loveland. Following the memorial service, there will be a graveside service for family at the Town of Berthoud Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband Wilson and her son Gary.
