Ralph Wilkinson Obituary
Ralph Benjamin Wilkinson, 94, of Loveland, Colorado, died peacefully on July 11, 2014 at North Shore Health and Rehab. He was born on June 1, 1920 to Earl and Laura Wilkinson in Alberta, Canada. He moved to Blaine, Washington when he was 2 years old. At the age of seven, he and his family crossed the great plains in a model T Ford and finally settled in Clinton, Iowa. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1939. He enlisted in the Air Force and served overseas during WWII. He was stationed in Ireland, England and France. After returning home after the war he went back to school and became a licensed airplane mechanic in Des Moines, Iowa. He met and married Camila Geronzin in 1948. They had no children but lots of nieces and nephews. They traveled throughout the Western and Southern states before finally settling in Loveland, Colorado in 1962. He worked for American Airlines in Phoenix and General Motors in California before starting his own auto repair business in Loveland. Ralph was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church since January of 1996. He was also life time member of the American Legion and the Moose. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Camilla (Millie), his parents, and one brother, Arnold. He is survived by one brother, Harold (Jane Wilkinson of Clinton, Iowa and loved by many nieces and nephews great and great-great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank North Shore Health & Rehab, their staff, nurses and the many aides that took such good care of him these past 2 1/2 years. The Funeral Service in at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 14, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
