Robert D. "Bob" Ramey, Jr., 78, of Loveland passed away on June 22, 2013. Bob was born on January 6, 1935 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to Robert Davis Ramey Sr. and Mary Virginia (Matthews) Ramey. He graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelors in Physics. Bob married Julia Holeman in Lafayette, IN. on January 28, 1956. Bob worked at Rand Corporation in Massachusetts as a systems analyst for 2 years until they sold and became S.D.C. and Bob worked there until 1971. He also worked for Philco Ford until 1994 before working for CTA until he retired in 1998. Bob and Julia moved to Loveland in 1998. Bob was an avid runner and ran marathons. He would run up to 40 miles a week. Bob was an active member of First United Methodist and Runners Roost in Colorado Springs. Bob is survived by his wife Julia; sons David (Angie) Ramey of Colorado Springs and Chris Ramey of Loveland; daughters Paula (Paul) Ramey-Perez of Los Gatos, CA. and Jennifer (Jim) Schults of Ramona, CA.; grandchildren Jessica Valentine, Philip and Ryanne Shults and Isabelle Perez. He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters. A memorial services will be held at a later date in Parkersburg, West Virginia.
