Mark and Rocky, may God give your family peace and comfort in this time. I remember your father from the times I circled Mack's and he was always easy-going but made sure we did what we were supposed to and was expected of us. Mark, I also remember the times you and my brother were always running around together with Mike Wilhelm and both of our dads talked with each other to make sure the statement they were given matched. Rocky, you and my sister Mary Madeline kind of got to be friends because of your younger brothers and kind of kept an eye on them, probably for self-defense more than anything.

You called him "daddy", we called him "friend". He was such a honest straight-forward gentleman and your family benefitted from his love of God and his
Family. We benefitted just by knowing him. Jack and I are out of tow or we would have been there to help celebrate his new life. Love to all. Jack and Jacinda Dieken

Sarge was one of the main reasons I pursed a Career in Law Enforcement, His stern but fair way of handling the Kids of Abilene was a lasting impression. His words of wisdom "GLOVER GO HOME" still ring thru my head. Rest In Peace my Brother.. My thoughts and Prayers are with his Family.

Rockie, Mark, Peggy and Gareth,
So sad to hear of the passing of your dad. He was always the sweetest most kindhearted man. Growing up down the street, it was always a pleasure to be invited to your home for lots of good times. To me, he will always be "SARG". Praying for all of you at this time for peace, understanding and memories...........

Sarge was the voice of reason and gracious to a generation of 1960's Abilene youth as he patrolled at Mack Eplen's Drivateria. He was a revered fixture, part of our culture and an exceptional man. Well done, good and faithful son.

I first met Sgt Angleton when driving around Mack Eplen's in the '60's. Later I got to know Lt Angleton in 1974 when I first started working at APD. As Major A he was a constant figure of authority, respect and admiration in my career until his retirement. He was just good people. Fair, honest and an upright man. The world is poorer for his leaving it.

Chief Angleton was a true role model and wore his badge with dignity and pride. He put the word "RESPECT" on the badge of the Abilene Police Department. While growing up in Abilene and visiting with Chief Angleton both at the department and while working his extra job at "Macks", I developed a tremendous amount of respect for him and "the uniform" and I believe he was one of the main reasons I became a Dallas Police Officer when I got out of school. Abilene is a better city because of Paul Angleton. Rest in Peace SIR...JOB WELL DOWN.
