Elizabeth S. Heppert, 75, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 4, 2013. She was preceded by her husband, George A. Heppert; daughters, Jeannie Rosenburg and Mellissa Seagrove. Elizabeth was a resident of Friendship Manor Assisted living. She was a lifetime member of the DAV Auxiliary #3 and also involved with the AMVETS and VFW. Elizabeth loved her veterans and the nurses, residents and kitchen staff at Friendship Manor.

Elizabeth leaves behind two daughters, Theresa A. Reed of Roanoke, Barbara Jean McGuirt of York, S.C.; two sons, Billy Anderson and John Rosenburg, both of Richmond; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many many special friends at Friendship.
Family would like to thank everyone who helped them though this difficult time, especially the 11 to 7 staff at Friendship Manor and to Mike, for everything you did for mother.
A service celebrating Elizabeth's life will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, in Simpson Funeral Home with Rev. R.L. Graves Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family Wednesday, March 6, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
