Deborah Jean Lafavore, 55, of Rutland, died Thursday, October 30, 2013, at Fletcher Allen Health Care.

She was born on January 16, 1958, in Portland, ME, the daughter of Richard and Joyce (Wasson) Lafavore.
Deborah was a graduate of Portland High School in Portland, ME, and Andover College in Portland, ME.
She was employed by Rutland Hospital for many years as a healthcare financial counselor.
Deborah was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Auxiliary and Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
Surviving are her mother, Joyce Carter of New Port Richey, Fla.; two sons, Justin Kavanaugh and Kevin Kavanaugh, both of Shrewsbury; a daughter, Jennifer Kavanaugh and her husband Dylan Flood of Rutland; brothers Richard Lafavore of New Port Richey, FL, and David Hemingway of Scarborough, ME; a sister, Gina Hughes of NJ, and a grandson, Matthew Flood.
She was predeceased by her father Richard Lafavore.
The funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, in the Clifford Funeral Home where friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon.
