CASTLETON, VT - Francis X. Graham, age 69, passed away at his home on Friday, May 3, 2013.

Francis was born on January 12, 1944, in Manhattan, NY, the son of Charles Vincent and Marion Elizabeth (Tierney) Graham.

Frank spent his childhood years in the Bronx. He attended Sacred Heart Parochial Grade School. He then attended DeWitt Clinton High School. His senior year he spent at the Poultney High School, Poultney, VT, where he graduated. He was an excellent athlete and excelled in many sports, but especially football and basketball. Frank was a driving force in Poultney's first Basketball State Championship in 1962.

Frank met and married his high school sweetheart, Wilda Duval, whom he married in 1963. They had four wonderful children together. They went back to New York City where Frank worked on Wall Street; however, they decided that their hearts were in Vermont and they returned. He went to work for Moore Business Forms where he was employed for the next 17 years. The following year Frank worked in numerous sales positions throughout the area and for the NFL Commissioner's office in Security.

In 1982 Frank retired and was fortunate to find love a second time in his life when he met Elizabeth Lynch. Together they united her children and his and made a very large family.

Frank thoroughly enjoyed being an avid fan of the Castleton Spartan Football team. He made many wonderful friends there and loved doing the football pool. Frank loved the country and Vermont. He and Liz led a simple life together filled with family and love. His family was so important to him; his siblings, Liz and their combined family of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was thankful for it all. He loved his home on Pond Hill Road where he made many memories with Liz and Izzy. Frank was a member of AA, the Moose Club, Masons and the Elks Club.

Frank was predeceased by his parents, and three brothers: Edward Tierney, James Graham and Charles Graham. He is survived by his companion of thirty years, Elizabeth Lynch, and children: Glenna (Graham) Golden (Keith) of Penacook, NH, Rhonda Graham of Rutland, Shauna Graham of Rutland and Francis Graham of Burlington as well as Jeremiah Lynch, Grace Barber, Darlene Johnson, Marlene Lynch, Lisa Eastman, Kara Burlett, Christine Schabel and John Lynch. In addition his siblings: Michael Graham (Donna) of Hudson Falls, NY, Patrick Graham of Yonkers, NY and Marianne Graham of Granville, NY. Carmel Cemetery in Middle Granville. Friends may call on Monday, May 6, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville, NY.
