MANCHESTER - Fred L. Kirk, 90, died Feb. 24, 2014, at Equinox Terrace.
He was born Jan. 29, 1924, in New York City, the son of Fred A. and Vera Kirk.
He graduated from All Hollows High School, and attended Holy Cross College.
He served in the U.S. Navy as an aviator pilot during World War II and the Korean War.
Along with his father, he owned the Manchester Café, and later the Brokers Restaurant in New York City. He retired from the Café at Lincoln Square in 1989.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Foley of Manchester, and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Anne and a son, Ricky.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 28, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Manchester. A reception will follow.
