Robert Edward Colomb, Jr. 53, of Rutland passed away Thursday June 12, 2014 in Springfield, VT.

He was born in Proctor, August 5, 1960, the son of Robert E. and Mary (Lubinsky) Colomb, Sr.
Robert was a graduate of Rutland High School and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was a Correctional Officer with the State of Vermont. Then a self-employed logger.
Robert was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his mother of Rutland; a daughter Amethyst Lisa Colomb of Essex Jct., VT; two brothers, Peter J. Colomb Sr. and his wife Stacey of Rutland and Ronald W. Colomb and his wife Vikki of Rutland; one sister, Lois Walczuk and husband Peter of Wallingford; two stepsons, Amie Page and Rene Page; three step-grandchildren, Colton Page, Jada Page and Lacey Page. Nephews; Joshua Walczuk, Peter Colomb Jr., Corey Colomb, and Nick Colomb. Great-grand nieces; Elise and Michelle Colomb. And best friend and beloved pet Fisher.
He was pre-deceased by his father and by a niece Samantha Walczuk.
Visiting hours will be held Monday from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Michael Ramos, O.F.M. Cap. of St. Peter's Church.
A reception will follow.
Burial services with military honors will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery.
