MIDDLEBURY - Robert F. Boise, 75, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in White River Junction, after a short illness.

He was born Feb. 2, 1938, in Middlebury, the son of Leonard and Alice (Bolduc) Boise.
He entered the U.S. Air Force on his 17th birthday and served in Japan, Texas and at Ethan Allen Air Force Base.
Mr. Boise started work as an over-the-road truck driver after his military service, was employed for 24 years for J. P. Carrara and Son as a truck driver and most recently worked at Martin's Hardware in Middlebury.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, American Legion Post #27 and VFW Post #7823.
He enjoyed fishing and was an avid car enthusiast.
Survivors include five siblings: Jacqueline Berard of St. George, Betty Choiniere of Bristol, Raymond Boise of Middlebury, Roger and Rodney Boise, both of New Haven; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Boise was predeceased by a son, Francis Boise.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. William Beaudin as celebrant.
Burial will be at a later date in St. Mary's Cemetery.
