William "Bill" Levins, 80, died March 13, 2013, at Our House Outback.

He was born in Yonkers, N.Y., April 13, 1932, son of Patrick B. and M. Jean (McKay) Levins Sr.

Bill was a 1950 graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy and a 1954 graduate of St. Michael's College.

He was a U.S. Army, Korean War veteran, serving in the Intelligence Unit.

Bill was employed by Firestone, Abel's Tire Co., Sanborn's Paint Spot and Foley Services. After his retirement, he worked at Vermont Associates of Rutland.

He was a member of Christ the King Church, and past exhaulted ruler of Rutland Elks Lodge.

Bill was a supporter of Alcoholic Anonymous and active in the recovery community. He served on the board of directors at Recovery House.

He was an avid fan of MSJ athletics, New York Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers.

Surviving are a daughter, Lynne Levins Klamm and her husband, Kevin, of Rutland; two sons, Mark Levins of Rutland, Peter Levins and wife, Janine Clookey, of Weybridge; a sister, Sister Judy Levins SSJ of Rutland; seven grandchildren, Paul Black, Kendra Black, Nicholas Levins, Matthew Levins, Alyssa Klamm, Colleen Levins and Joshua Levins; a great-granddaughter, Kira Snow; nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Janet (Duval) Levins, in 1992; and five siblings, Patrick B. Levins Jr., Douglas Levins, Michael Levins, Sister Mary Catherine McKay and Joan Riebold.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in Christ the King Church. A reception will follow.

Friends may call at the Clifford Funeral Home today (Friday) from 4 to 7 p.m.
