Linda Gusbeth Kiecolt Obituary
Linda L. Kiecolt, 68, went home to be with Jesus on April 26, 2014 after a long illness. By the Grace of God, she peacefully passed in the loving arms of her husband of 23 years, Ken Kiecolt.
Linda was born Sept 29, 1945 in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of William and Beulah Gusbeth of Canfield, Ohio.
She was a 1963 graduate of Canfield High School. Linda loved spending time with her family and friends. They brought much joy to her life. She was a member of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside for the past 27 years and looked forward to spending eternity in heaven with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To God be the glory!
After graduating from high school, Linda attended Lewis, Weinberger & Hill Beauty Academy and was an area beautician for several years. After moving to CA in 1968, she served as a police dispatcher for the Fontana Police Department for 14 years before medically retiring. She was actively involved in PTA when her children were young and was an avid football fan, especially when her son, Tom, played football through Pop Warner and at Fontana High School, and her daughter, Cindy, was a cheerleader in Pop Warner and at Fontana High. Those were very special days for her!
Linda is survived by her husband, Kenneth E. Kiecolt, whom she married February 17, 1991. He was a faithful and loving caregiver to her for many years. Linda will be deeply missed by her sister Wilma (Jim) Weingart of Boardman, OH; daughter Cindy (Charles) Sample of Redlands, CA; her granddaughter A1C Amanda Nixon of Scott Air Force Base, IL; her son, Tom (Sandy) Peek of Indio, CA; her granddaughter Skylar Peek of Indio, CA; her grandson, Colton Peek of Indio, CA; her new son Kenny (Amie) Kiecolt of Hesperia, CA; her grandson Matthew Kiecolt of Northern Arizona State University, Flagstaff, AZ; her grandson Joshua Kiecolt of Hesperia, CA; her new daughter April (Mark) Mante of Highland, CA; her new daughter Tani Kiecolt of Hesperia, CA; and numerous other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held at Refuge Bible Fellowship at 1600 Chicago Avenue, Ste. R-7, Riverside, California on April 30, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Fred Jordan Mission at (626)915-1981 in Linda's honor.
