Ralph L. Rubino
71, passed away on July 10, 2014 in San Bernardino, the town he called home since 1954. He was born on Long Island, NY in 1942 and moved to San Bernardino when he was 11. Ralph attended Arrowview Elementary School, and San Bernardino HS, where he was a football star before graduating in 1960. He attended Valley College before transferring to Arizona State University graduating with a degree in Pharmacy in 1966. He returned to San Bernardino and eventually opened his own pharmacy store- Crown Rexall Drug- located on West 2nd St. His hallmark was his bright, cheerful spirit and his huge smile with a heart to match.
One of his favorite things to do was going to Las Vegas for March Madness every year with a group of college "Poco Loco" buddies.
He is survived by his brothers, Giacinto "Jay" Rubino, and Frank Rubino, Jr. both of San Bernardino, nephews Joshua Rubino, Sean Rubino, Frank Rubino III, Vinny Rubino, Gianni Rubino, and nieces Rosemary Rubino, Melissa Rubino, and Sabrina Rubino.
Services will be held at the Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3520 E. Washington St. Colton, CA. Visitation is Friday, August 1st from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and funeral services will be held Saturday, August 2nd at 1:00 p.m. You may view photos and sign a guestbook online at www.montecitomemorialparkandmortuary.com
