Berdell A. "Bert" Feichtinger, 86

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Berdell A. "Bert" Feichtinger, age 86, of St. Cloud. Bert passed away Saturday, May 4 at the St. Cloud Hospital due to injuries received in an automobile accident. Reverend Thomas Knoblach will officiate. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery in St. Cloud with full military honors. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
Bert was born September 8, 1926 in St. Cloud to Gustave and Gladys (Page) Feichtinger. He graduated from Cathedral High School in 1944. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and served in both the European and Pacific Theatres of War. He was employed as a supervisor in the machine shop at St. Regis (Verso) Paper Mill. He retired in 1987. He will be remembered for his quiet generosity to many organizations and causes. He would like to relax at his property near Grey Eagle where he would hunt with family and friends. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and Sauk Rapids American Legion Post 254.
Bert is survived by his brothers and sisters Frances Fitzpatrick of Sauk Rapids, Robert (Elaine) Feichtinger of Willmar, Vernon (Lucille) Feichtinger of St. Cloud and Doreen Eiynck of Coon Rapids, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents and sister Genevieve Feichtinger.
