Donald H. Hallerman, 84

Sartell

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell for Donald H. Hallerman, age 84, who passed away Tuesday at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Sauk Rapids. Rev. Timothy Baltes will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, January 27 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell and one hour prior to the service Tuesday also at the church. St. Cloud East Side VFW Post #4847 will pray at 6:30 p.m., followed by parish prayers at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids.

Don was born Jan. 13, 1930 in Millwood Township to Joseph & Elizabeth (Herzog) Hallerman. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Don married Helen Boeckermann on Sept. 25, 1951 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in St. Rosa. He was the Oxygen Plant Manager for Central McGowan for 45 years. Don was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and St. Cloud East Side VFW Post #4847. He enjoyed fishing, playing cribbage and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Helen of Sartell; daughter and sons, Kathy (Don) Smude of St. Cloud, Marvin (Lynda) of Sartell, Ken of Sartell, Mark (Becky) of St. Stephen, and Kevin of Rice; brothers, Boniface (Marcella) of St. Cloud, Alfred "Fritz' of Albany, Virgil of Sartell, Joseph Jr. (Lois) of Wadena, and Gerald (Kathy) of Hanover; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Cori; brothers, Henry, Ervin, and Wilfred; and sister, Marion Hoppe.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home for the wonderful care they provided Don.
