Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids for John L. Kittridge, age 66, who passed away Thursday at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Augusta. Rev. Ronald Weyrens will officiate and burial will be at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids and from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at church. Parish prayers will be said at 6:00 p.m. Monday at Williams Dingmann Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids.
John L. Kittridge was born Sept. 1, 1947 in Minneapolis to Jack M. & Helen (Havrilak) Kittridge. He married Debbie Kosloske on June 30, 1984. John served his country in the Army National Guard from 1965-1986. He was a St. Cloud Police Officer for 20 years, Stearns County Sheriff's Deputy for 10 years and also worked as a real estate agent for 10 years. John was a member of the St. Cloud Police Dept. Retiree Association and the Minnesota Police & Peace Officers Association. He enjoyed working out, riding his Harley Davidson, mountain biking, traveling, sky diving, cliff diving, animals, especially Kona, and spending time with his family and friends. John was a patriotic person who was proud of his Irish heritage and his time in law enforcement. He was always there for others in need.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie of Sartell, daughters, Erin (Brian) Fergen of Sartell and Kelli (Gary) Olson of Sartell; grandchildren, Kate & Bridget Fergen, Kira & Nathan Olson; and brothers and sisters, Michael (Mary) of Sauk Rapids, Mare of Minneapolis, Pat (Bruce) Thielman of St. Cloud, Kelly of Sauk Rapids and Nellie (Brad) Feist of Rogers and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Quiet Oaks Hospice House, Tri County Humane Society or Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
