Memorial services will be held 4:00 to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, April 29th with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Williams Dingmann Funeral Home, St. Cloud for John Carl Wilken, 70, who passed away on April 25 at his home in Saint Cloud, MN after a courageous battle with cancer.

John was born on May 18, 1943 in Round Lake, MN to John and Alice (Kunze) Wilken.  He spent much of his childhood in Worthington, MN and enlisted in the Army after high school.  John married Phyllis Elaine Gunn October 12, 1963, and settled in the St. Cloud Community shortly after to raise his family.  John was employed at DeZurik Corporation for 33 years and Coborns Grocery thereafter.

John is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Phyllis, his brothers James (Mely) of Sioux City, IA and Dale of Worthington. He is also survived by sons Jeff (Jodi) of Sartell and Jason (Becki) of Clearwater; his grandchildren, Gina (Jesse) of Farmington, Amanda (Jason) of Foley, Kayla and Jarod of Clearwater, and great-granddaughter Emmalyn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Alice Wilken.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Coborns Cancer Center, VA Medical Center, and the St. Croix Hospice Organization for their care and kindness during John's illness.
