Margie was born on July 25, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois, to Frank and Evelyn (Olsen) Malott. Margie grew up in Evergreen Park, Illinois, and spent many wonderful summers at her parent's cottage along the shores of Lake Michigan. After graduating from Elmhurst College, she worked as an elementary school teacher in Chicago until she married her college sweetheart, John J. Nealy, in 1958. Shortly thereafter, Margie and John established their home in St. Cloud. While living in the St. Cloud area Margie worked as a teacher and a real estate agent. However, over the course of her life, her main passion was the love and caring for her three children and four grandchildren.
Margie was a fun-loving person with a great sense of humor. She always had a natural and warm smile for everyone she met. She enjoyed many hobbies including traveling, bowling, camping, arts and crafts, swing dancing, and playing ping pong. She also loved to read novels and studied the history of the civil war.
Margie is survived by her children, David (Lori) Barron of Holdingford, Paul (Melissa) Nealy of St. Cloud, and Barbra "Bobbi" of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Tamar (Aris), Samantha, Sam, and Ellie; great grandchildren, Vasilis and Michalis. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband John.
